cosmicavatar Yeah, so, maybe a few of mine were a bit obscure. But I was running out of Heroes characters. (Someone suggested 3 might be Bela, which--ahahahaha, would be a so very interesting meeting. Poor Shawn. )
Crochet or Knit? Acrylic or Natural fibers? Wood or metal hook/needles?
Angela would sometimes knit socks when she was younger, and always used the very finest natural fibers and metal hook/needles, though she is more occupied by other things these days. The Impala and Test Card Girl have no need for such things, and the Imapala is probably physically incapable of either knitting or crocheting anyway. Monica uses natural fibers if she can get her hands on them, but is okay with acrylics, and uses wooden hook/needles she inherited from her grandmother; she knits and crochets, and has a nice book of patterns, also from her grandmother. She was not very good at it initially, but Monica is a very, very fast learner.
Shawn cannot be trusted with needles of any kind and will probably end up stabbing himself. Besides, he lives in an area where scarves and sweaters are generally impractical. Dean will never, ever, admit that he once tried to make a scarf for his dad when he was left in a small town where a very nice lady took pity on him and gave him cookies, hand-knitted socks, and a few simple lessons. CTB uses whichever method, type of fiber, and hook/needle is suited for her needs, and may not be very good at it initially, but is very determined to succeed at it anyway.
Juliet, like Shawn, does not need much in the way of wool clothing, but went through a brief crochet phase when she was younger; she used acrylic, because it was cheaper, and plastic hook/needles, because, as mentioned, she was very young and didn't know much about it. She was probably better at it than expected. Ianto prefers natural fibers and wood hook/needles, but is fully capable of both knitting and crochet, and is in fact very, very good at it, though he doesn't make a big deal out of it. He mostly makes scarves, because sweaters do not really fit with his style but he lives in an area where scarves are very practical. Sam lives in an area where wool clothing is practical, and so might be inclined to make a scarf, but has enough problems maintaining his masculinity as it is, and his life is too distracting to take up a hobby anyway.
If Sam and Test Card Girl became hopelessly stranded in a blizzard during a dog-sledding adventure in northern Canada: a) how long would it take them to get to the hypothermia-prevention sex? and b) who would eat who first after they'd finished off the dogs?
Sam becomes extremely freaked out and refuses to believe Test Card Girl is really there; she is probably very amused by the whole thing, and is not helpful at all. They do not have sex, but Sam eventually remembers some things he learned about how to prevent hypothermia on their own. (Let it be known that this question made me laugh hysterically.)
Ianto accidentally picks up Shawn's bag at the airport. What do they find inside? What do they do with it/about it? Do they try to return the bag?
Ianto finds a number of brightly-colored polo shirts, blue jeans, and a fruit. He returns it promptly and never think too much about it, though Shawn will be upset and suspect some kind of bag-stealing conspiracy.
Angela, Dean, and CTB find themselves forced to work together to save the world. What are they saving it from, and how do they manage to save it?
In Dean's universe, they are probably saving the world from some kind of nasty mystical monster, and Dean is very good at defeating it via a combination of badassery and similarly mystical methods; CTB has no experience with any of this at all, but in the event of injury, will prove useful; Angela is the one who summoned the mystical monster in the first place, just for the purposes of seeing how Dean handled it. Angela is not really interested in CTB, but sees certain similarities between them anyway. Angela is uneasily familiar with the sort of relationship Dean has with another character.
Sam and Test Card Girl: together they fight crime! But are they any good at it?
Sam is pretty good at fighting crime, but freaks the hell out whenever Test Card Girl shows up, which is not conducive to the job at all. She always picks the worst possible moment to show up, naturally.
Exactly how screwed-up would Shawn/Ianto be?
Shawn/Ianto would not be terribly screwed-up, although their relative geography might cause some problems, and Ianto is in some kind of a relationship anyway. Shawn sees certain similarities between Ianto and someone they know, and thinks Ianto is nicer, but, if separated from his geographical location, gets lonely; Ianto, if separated from his geographical location, is probably only doing so for a job and will return home as soon as he can, leaving Shawn feeling somewhat rejected, but Shawn is used to that.
Angela, Juliet and Monica are in a three-way relationship. Does anyone feel left out?
Juliet and Monica probably get along well, but they find Angela a little disconcerting. None of them have significant others, although Juliet's friends will be very, very shocked and demand to know what's going on. Angela is almost certainly doing it for some mysterious reason of her own, but likes that both Juliet and Monica are skilled and practical, and may end up using them for some dubious purpose.
Each of them find themselves in a Journalism class. They are each told to pick a topic that they are passionate about and research it and write an Opinion piece on it. What does everyone write about? Who will get the best mark? Who will get the worst?
Sam writes about policing techniques, and is good at it, although a bit dry. Dean isn't the writing type, but decides, on reflection, to write about cars; he could write about something else, but he doesn't think it would get him a very good grade. His piece is very passionate and accurate, but rather abrasive and insulting. Shawn writes about the practical usage of the supernatural world, very earnestly, and, while not having the strictest accuracy, is extremely charming and persuasive and thus gets a good grade; Dean gives them the death stare. If the Impala could write, oh, the tales it could tell--but it doesn't, though it does appreciate Dean's article very much. Angela writes about psychology and manipulation, and does a bit too well on it; she gets the best grade in the class. Juliet writes about something unexpected, but does it very earnestly and gets a good grade nonetheless. Ianto writes about maintaining good office relationships, and is very polite and charming throughout. Monica writes about a tragedy that happened where she lives a few years ago, and picks up the whole 'writing' thing a lot quicker than expected. CTB writes about a bold new drug being released, and its applications to modern medicine; she's a bit too fervent in her research, and get a good grade, but the rest of the class thinks she's a joke. Test Card Girl, if she was inclined to write, might also write about manipulation, but is not the writing type and instead spends the class talking to Sam, who tries very hard to pretend that she is not there.
What sort of tattoo, and where would it go, would each person/place/thing get, if they had to get a tattoo?
Sam does not want to get a tattoo, but is probably aware of several places where one could; the places, however, are dingy and very suspect, which is probably why he does not want to get one. Dean in fact already has one, and is quite fond of it, though perhaps not for the reasons you'd think. Shawn would like the tough-guy image that comes with a tattoo, and has several extensive ones planned, but is too chicken to go through with it; he is probably aware of a couple average places to get it done. The Impala is quite happy with the way it looks, thank you, and any tattoo job for it would be rather more expensive anyway and require a different sort of shop. Angela would get something discreet, probably a small kanji saying something simple and meaningful, and would get it at a very top-of-the-line place. Juliet would surprise everybody with a tattoo of something she considers important that she's never mentioned before, and would also know of a few average places to get it done. Ianto would get something similarly discreet, though in a language closer to home than Japanese, and whatever it said might shock most of the people who know him, but not all of them. Monica doesn't want a tattoo, but after visiting a parlor, would be capable of giving one to herself. CTB can think of a number of medical reasons why tattoos are inadvisable, and thus chooses not to get one. Test Card Girl is too young to get one, and doesn't really get out much anyway.
How are said characters' relationships with their parents?
In a stunning twist of fate, only Sam, Dean, and Shawn have (obvious) daddy issues. Sam had quite a nice relationship with his mother, but doesn't see her very much these days; his father left when he was very young, and he's only recently come to terms with that. Dean barely knew his mother at all, and his dad was kind of a bastard. A cool bastard, though. Shawn's mother left when he was a teenager, and he has a very casual relationship with his father, but there may be some underlying emotional tension there. The Impala probably never knew its parents, but is quite happy with its adopted family nonetheless. Angela's relationship with her parents is unknown, but her relationship with the rest of her family is very interesting. Juliet has quite a nice extended family, and seems perfectly happy with them, but to the best of my knowledge, her parents have never been shown. We've never seen Ianto's family, either; he doesn't talk much about their past, and he's quite content with the (highly dysfunctional) family he's acquired through his job. Monica's father left some time ago, and her mother died recently; she has a very good relationship with her grandmother. CTB may or may not have had a surprisingly normal relationship with her parents; as we've never seen them, beyond one comment on them which may or may not have been true, we really don't know. Test Card Girl has no family, friends, or contacts at all that we know of besides Sam, who would not consider her family at all.
All the numbers are forced to compete in a talent show, what happens?
Talent show: Sam is not inclined to do such things, and doesn't really have any ability suited to a talent show anyway, except maybe cooking. He refuses to join, and instead spends his time staking out the joint for suspicious behavior. Dean, while occasionally being quite showy, does not necessarily want the attention garnered from such a public event--although his marksmanship skills could prove for an interesting show. Shawn lives to show off his talents and will gladly do so, impressing everyone in the audience; he will then laugh about it all the way home. The Impala is ill-suited to talent competitions, unless they are talent competitions of another sort entirely, in which case it might prove to be an excellent racer. (Certainly, it's got quite a bit of endurance.) It stays in the parking lot and wait for Dean to finish. Angela is the one running the competition, and is an excellent judge. She is very interested in special talents. Juliet turns out to be quite personable on stage, much as she is usually, and is also an excellent marksman; Shawn, in particular, claps and cheers very loudly and hits on her backstage. Ianto is also an excellent marksman, but not terribly showy; he ends up manning the drinks table during the intermission. Monica does a full-on gymnastic routine, wowing everybody. CTB, while rather liking attention and quite good at her job, does not have any talents suitable to a talent show, and ends up acquainting herself with Angela. Test Card Girl is not a very public person and does not have any practical talents anyway; she spends the show talking to Sam, who becomes increasingly agitated by this.
Everyone is stuck on a desert island. (I AM NOTHING IT NOT PREDICTABLE)
a. Do the numbers band together? Do they split into small groups?
b. Does anyone try to kill someone else?
c. Does anyone end up making out/having sex with someone else?
d. Who goes to try and find food/shelter?
e. Who BUILDS the shelter?
f. Who refuses to believe that help won't come, and sits on the beach and makes fires to attract wandering planes?
A) Dean and the Impala are inseparable, although the Impala is not really conducive to a sandy environment, which rather upsets Dean. Shawn and Juliet stick together, if only because they know each other and Juliet does not want Shawn to get in trouble (which he will assuredly do anyway). CTB may be drawn to Angela--they share certain characteristics, and Angela might find it amusing to take CTB under her wing. Monica is totally lost, but will probably like Juliet and thus stick with her; the same goes for Ianto, although Ianto will have a healthy (if slightly reserved) level of respect for Angela. Sam will try to be the leader, unless Test Card Girl is too distracting, and Dean will definitely compete with him on this. The group will likely end up following Dean, and Ianto might actually have quite a negative reaction to Sam if he has a good memory.
B) As mentioned, Ianto might not be particularly fond of Sam (and might be startled by Sam's very existence, in fact), but he will probably not actually attempt to kill him. Both Sam and Dean will at some point attempt to strangle Shawn. Everyone likes Juliet, Ianto, and Monica, but may be annoyed by CTB, and either respects Angela or doesn't know what to think of her. Shawn tries to be friendly with everyone, but only Juliet and Monica will actually enjoy his company, though Angela and Ianto might be intrigued by him.
C) Shawn would like to get something going with Juliet, but completely fails, and then moves onto Monica, who may respond a little more forcefully. Nobody asks too many questions about Dean and the Impala. Dean may occasionally be taken a little off-guard by Sam's name, and will likely also hit on Juliet and Monica. Ianto may take some kind of an interest in Sam, if only because he's used to being the sane one and they could be considered countrymen. Sam, the Impala, Angela, CTB, and Test Card Girl stay out of the whole mess, although Test Card Girl may take to teasing Sam about Juliet, who reminds him of someone he knows.
D) Dean and Ianto are ostensibly the only ones who might have skills pertaining to the situation (Ianto less so, but his job requires him to be very flexible), so everyone seems to defer to them. Sam, Juliet, and Monica are very willing to do whatever they can (and Monica may prove to be very good indeed). Shawn is not likely to be useful at anything, although if anybody needs a certain kind of fruit, he's got that down. The Impala is actually quite good at providing shelter, though not for many people.
E) Again, Dean, Ianto, Sam, Juliet and Monica will all do what they can, and the Impala is quite useful in that regard as well.
F) CTB. Definitely CTB. Probably Shawn and maybe Sam, but Sam is starting to get quite used to his life getting randomly turned upside down. Besides, Test Card Girl probably won't shut up about it, so he might get involved just to spite her.
