No longer with Blak Magik
My stint as the lead singer of the band Blak Magik is over....
Wait!
You didn't know I was part of a heavy metal band??
Well....that's because I wasn't with them for very long...in fact I only had one practice session with them...which was last night...
Everything went fine really...the music sounded the way it should sound...my voice stunk but they all swore it was better than what they could do...
Problem is, they are very serious about this band...this is no side project...they are all deciding their very future on how they perform in their first concert in Hartford...
On the other hand, I have other interests...and I don't want to sacrifice my hobbies and ideas for something I am not fully committed to...and if I continued to persue other activities while still being with the band, then obviously I would end up dragging them down because I would never live up to their expectations....
They're good people but I cannot handle the pressure...
And besides...I don't even like metal!
Back to my other projects then...which right now include writing my book and recording my own music...we'll see how THAT turns out...
I should note that I made the discovery that I could almost perfectly duplicate the voice of Billy Corgan...just sort of interesting....
