WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo~! it's true, it's true
Last night was the ballgame between the Red Sox and The Indians...two teams with winning records who are on hot streaks.....
But I hardly watched any of it....
Instead I went over to Spike TV and watched Ric Flair battle Kurt Angle. The gimmick behind the match was that it would determine who was truly "the man" in wrestling right now. Sure it may have been a gimmick but in reality, it may have been more true than the bookers of the match thought. There it was...Ric Flair, who I grew up believing to be "the man"...arguably one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever performed....then there was Kurt Angle...the man who in the past 5 years has remained really one of the VERY FEW reasons why I even bother to watch wrestling once in a while and keep track of what's going on....they wrestled for the first time ever....
It wasn't a perfect match...Ric Flair is in his 50s for crying out loud...and Kurt Angle is lucky he isn't crippled at this point in his career...and yet they still managed to put on a very good match...a match that had me yelling at my television and jumping up and down in excitement...they fought catch-as-catch-can...then they got dirty...Flair bit Angle in the hand to escape an STF....
In the end, Kurt Angle came out the winner...which was expected...but it didn't matter because the match managed to entertain everyone who watched it that night...it was simply great....
Spike TV also announced Season 2 of The Ultimate Fighter.....last season featured Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffin beating the snot out of each other in one of the most brutal brawls I have ever seen....so needless to say I'm excited....
