ahhhh scary nightmare!!!
I just woke up from the most long, elaborate, horrifying dream, holy crap. My sleep schedule is really messed up from that night we spent in the airport, I slept practically all day yesterday and then couldn't sleep until 3 am last night. Nevermind that I have a crapton of stuff to get done at school today and I'm not there yet. Now I want to go even less!!
As part of our honeymoon, Radek and I stopped to visit this retreat that everyone in my lab was doing, somewhere in the States. At first it was pretty fun, there was good food, very chill atmosphere, everyone was just hanging out and having fun. It very gradually became evident that this was some kind of hyper-religious retreat-prison, and we were not allowed to leave. There were armed guards at every entrance. Everybody who had just been eating food and small-talking started enthusiastically talking about all this religious shit (it seemed like my dream was basing it on mormonism but it was way more cultish than that). More people started showing up to the retreat (ex lab members), and it became this formal conference with different speakers. At this point it had gone on for way longer than we had planned to stay, and Radek was getting really annoyed and wanted to leave. I kept begging him to please stop looking so obvious about wanting to leave, I was really afraid they were going to zero in on us for more rigorous 'educating' or even shoot us. By this point, there were men walking around with semi-automatic weapons and watching out for people trying to escape. There were a few people trying to leave or crying or really freaking out. I overheard one girl in my lab say that she wanted to have a baby with her husband but our supervisor had forced her to get pregnant by HER husband. They turned on this movie about the religion that was going to be like 7 hours. We were sitting in a back corner with a few other girls who obviously were having none of it, either. Radek kept joking like he was going to open the emergency exit door and I was freaking out trying to stop him because I didn't want the alarm to go off and people to come and shoot us! There was a little space under the emergency exit door and I peered under it and realized it didn't lead to the outside, it led into an ACTUAL PRISON.
