Since the beginning of the year I've been in an on-going paperwork war with the Financial Aid office...they're winning. First they wanted me to fill out some verification worksheets (for the fourth time), then they denied my financial aid and made me fill out an application to reinstate it (which they denied). After that they told me that I needed to have my B.S. degree posted (!@#$!& hell I could have graduated with my friends last year!). Now they want me to fill out more paperwork telling them why the hell I'm still here. After all of that has gone through they will allow me to take out 3 different loans (because I'm technically still a dependent even though my father can't really afford to give me any money) and go in debt up to my eyeballs. On top of all of that I am no longer eligible for work study so I will have my hours severely cut in the WRC and I might lose my Language Lab job altogether. This means that on top of my 19 credits (all necessary), practicum, and the job/s that I already have, I have to find another source of income. *UNGGGGGGH!*
On the upside, I was offered a copy-editing job for a Social Work magazine. It only pays a dollar per double spaced page, but it's under the table so no taxes are taken out and I can set my own schedule. I also might be selected as the note-taker for my Geology class, which will pay a little bit. Tonight I go in search of the perfect part time job. Good Luck to me! (If nothing else works I can always go crawling back to Res Life....but I value my soul so let's cross our fingers that that doesn't happen.)
