house situation
Ok, so my little brother graduated on saturday and I went home to partake in the festivities. I had a bunch of homework that I brought with, but my sister Danielle forbade me from doing any of it. So I figured I get it done on monday night after I got home. My car still isn't running so my dad had to come to Bemidji and get me and he had to drive me back on monday. The rest of the family (minus my brother Charles) tagged along and once we got into Bemidji I bought everyone ice cream at Cold Stone (because we don't have one in DL). So we stuff ourselves with Cold Stone and then drive to my house. When we walk in the door we see that all of the furniture is gone from the living room and that it is now crammed to the gills w/ someone's worldly possessions. Katie's room is bare (it was kinda creepy because it echoed) and Andi's room has Charity's stuff in it. So then I went downstairs to see that Charity's room is now packed with what are obviously not her possessions. Conclusion=both of my new roommates are moving in early and I need to get all of the crap out of my room fast so that Shawn can put his stuff there.
Now, I had been planning to slowly move my stuff upstairs and have it all neatly in place by friday when they were supposed to move in=my room was its usual disaster area. So my family and I basically all started grabbing things and piling them into my new room. We moved my entire room, which is considerable, upstairs in under an hour. So now this week I'm trying to straighten up my room while going to school 8hrs a day and doing a ton of hw. *sigh*
Funny story though, my family didn't know that my new roommates are male, so when my little brother saw that one of them had Wii and some rennaisancy knives and the other had Guitar Hero he said, "How old are these chicks? I want to marry them!"
After it came out that they were guys (I had to shatter Elton's hopes), Bambi and my Dad were kind of leary of the situation, but Elton takes another look at their stuff and tells me that they look like wholesome nerds and that I have his permission to live with them.
