Sunsets and God
So last night I came out of church after prayer meeting and was blown away by the beautiful sunset. I said to myself instantly, I'm taking the long way home.
The long way home is Tylersville all the way to By-pass 4. After you get out of West Chester part of Tylersville the road winds through some less populated parts. It reminds me of driving around in Campbellsville and there has always been something peaceful and calming about driving roads like that.
So I took the long way home. I purposely set the music on my ipod to Passion's new cd "How Great Is Our God'. By the time I got to the country part Chris Tomlin's 'Indescribable' was blasting through my system and my hair that despartley needs a haircut was blowing in the wind.
I got chills, not from how cool it was, but from listening to the words and just soaking in the amazing sunset. I love a good drive with awesome surroundings that bring on those glad to be alive and loved by God moments.
I took a picture of the sky from my phone...it didn't come out as well as seeing it in person, but it shows a bit of how amazing it looked.
