It's moments such as these that Peter wonders why he has to be so earnest in wanting things to turn out perfectly. He's at the restaurant, one that's not too fancy or too trashy, a good fifteen minutes early for a dinner date with Hesam and his sister Haleh.
Sure, Peter is thrilled at the prospect of meeting Hesam's sister. To be honest, he really didn't think this day would ever come. And even though he overheard the other man confess to loving Peter when Hesam was on the phone with Haleh, that fact still didn't do much to settle his nerves.
Hesam had been a tensed up and cranky wreck ever since plans had started being made for this night. Hell, they were even arriving separately because Hesam took on another shift. More than once, the thought of the other guy ditching this meeting had crossed his mind. Even if that was highly unlikely, seeing as Hesam still had to come home to face him.
So here Peter was, waiting, rubbing his clammy palms on the khaki pants that he'd worn for the occasion. Hopefully, this evening wouldn't be a total wreck.
