politicians and bribes problem

Jan 16, 2005 10:14

This is a problem I made up....

100 people are standing in line to vote.
The first politician gives every 2nd person a bribe.
The second politician gives every 3rd person a bribe.
The third politician gives every fourth person a bribe.
This pattern continues for each of the 10 politicians in the race. --All bribes are $1.

1. Which people get the biggest bribes?
2. How much money is given out, total?
3. How many people remain unbribed?
4. How many politicians would you need for everyone in line to get a bribe?
