School again.

No chance of a snow day today, sadly enough. It was nice having an unexpected long weekend! I could use a few more of those to be honest.

Sunday was pretty mellow. We all just hung out for the most part. Took Daikon and BB outside a couple of times, but never for long. I think Piper and I spent more time outside on the roof. You know, Mom and Dad worry that we're crazy for going out on the roof in the cold, but it's really not so bad. The chimney is always warm and we lean up against that and it's not intolerable for the most part. Plus, we do bundle up. I got that thin, insulated undewear for Christmas, which helps a lot. And, if it does start to get a little too cold, I can always power up and spread a little energy. It's amazing how much heat can get generated from energy.

I'm at school right now, but we don't have English today, because our teacher is sick. This makes it a really good day, you know? They couldn't find a subsititute, so we've got a "Free period" which means they make us sit in this room and supposedly study. I'm actually trying to study, which makes *pauses and looks around the room* three of us. Everyone else is talking and laughing. Okay, I'm cheating a bit because I'm updating this, but I at least I'm keeping quiet.

At least things seem to have calmed down about Bra and I breaking up. I mean, I still have some folks that are asking some stupid questions, but at least they're asking and not just making wild assumptions. I guess the snow day gave everyone a chance to forget about us for awhile. Instead, the conversation today has been a lot about the snow. Some of the kids got together and built this huge snow fort over the weekend, which they covered with water so it froze. They're hoping it will last a long time so they can use it as a "party headquarters."

Yes, I've been asked if I want to check it out, but I don't think I want to do that. I'm imagining all it's going to turn into is either a drinking spree or a make out session. Besides, I have violin lessons after school today. You know, using that as an excuse gets you some really funny looks around here. "Violin lessons? What?" Folks either think you're some musical protoge or they think you're a geek.

The truth lies in the middle, closer to the geek side, I'm sure!
