Training and all such.

Whew, I just got back from training with Gokou. I have to say one thing, he gives me a workout and then some. At least I'm not a bloody mess today. That made Mom happy!

Yesterday we had a great time. That rink Piper found is really great! The place is dark inside, but they have lots of spotlights and backlighting and a DJ that plays all this music from about the 80's up. Maybe a few 70's disco songs, but mostly 80's and 90's. Mikomi had a blast, I think, dancing around on her blades. She really has energy to burn. I thought she was going to leap out of her skin when they played that REM song, "The End Of The World As We Know it." She was leaping up and down going, "I know this song, I know every single word!" and then proved it. You know, I don't even know all the words to that song, never mind have the speed to sing them too. She also proved she's got a lot of...balls self confidence. When they had the "couples" scate, I was out with Bra, and Pan and Trunks went out on the floor. She grabbed Piper's hand and took her out.

"We're a couple of friends, so why not?" And off they went, scating around. Once they did that, some of the other kids in the place started coming out with friends. She's got a point, they never specify what type of couple it should be, just a couple. And you see fathers and daughters out on the floor too, so why not two friends?

After we scated for a few hours, we went to that restaurant where Melanie used to work because they have lots of pasta and the portions are good and it's reasonable. Well, the reasonable part wasn't really a problem, but the place is nice yet casual, so we felt comfortable in there. And, I could have chocolate cream pie for desert. Real chocolate cream pie, where the chocolate is light and fluffy, not just cooked pudding shoved in a pie shell. Yes, I had an entire pie. I thought the waitress was going to choke when I asked for that. You'd think after all the food we'd eaten, she wouldn't have been surprised at all with a whole pie.

We went to the mall too, and stopped at that funky store near the school. I like the funky store. So many interesting things, none of them a necessity, but a lot of fun to think they are. And they sell used CD's and DVD's so you can find some really hard to find stuff sometimes. Bra bought a bunch of movies. I bought some CD's and a little zipper case for holding them. And some DVD's, including some of the older Disney stuff for Piper BB and Daikon. Disney is a great babysitter. And I wouldn't mind seeing them either.

We ended up the evening by hitting the arcade for a bit, which seems to be tradition. Where we all introduced Mikomi to DDR. And as I thought, she took to it. I have a feeling Tanomi is going to end up being dragged to the arcade a lot by an enthusiastic kid. Just remember, Tanomi, if you want one of us to take her, we will. We all go to the mall enough.

When Piper and I got home, we found Mom and Dad curled up in Dad's chair, sound asleep with the Lion King going. Daikon and BB were wide awake, watching it. So, we let them finish it, then got them off to bed. I got to put Daikon down, and Piper got to tuck BB in, because then she could hug and kiss Pizza Mouse good night.

Today though, is a nice, quiet day, well, except for the beating training I got from Gokou. My homework is all done, so I don't have to study. I've already done my time sawing the woodchuck, so I guess I can just kick back for awhile. Maybe I'll see if BB and Daikon want to crack into some of those Disney movies. And yes, Mom, Dad, and Piper, you can watch them with us!
