People have been leaving recently. Graduating. People who have been here for as long as I have or longer.

...I had forgotten that wardens make an ultimatum with the Admiral. I suppose I'll have more of a reason to stay rather than just having no choice.

I'm sure the Admiral won't make it easy for me, but that's what I need to do.

I don't have much to go home to anyway. Even if I did, I would stay and do this.

I was sent home about a month ago. It's not the best feeling when you realize there's nothing left to go home to. Ironically, I consider the Barge more of a home now than I do my actual home.

I understand. My 'home' has nothing for me, either. Eleven years of a prison sentence for crimes I didn't commit and an untimely death.

If the Admiral isn't trying to sink the lot of us with his rust and ash, you could do what I'm doing. You could make a different sort of deal, one for a new home. A better one.
