Just ten years, huh... I guess time is passing differently for everyone.

Interesting where you wound up.

Hm? How long has it been for you? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with demons' lifespans.

I dunno exactly. Hm... I think I was in my early 1300s last time I was on this island, so... somewhere in the neighborhood of a thousand years.

But anyway, something seems different about you aside from the age thing. You've got an aura kind of like a Seraph's... not that I was that great with the third eye as a kid, but I would have noticed with prolonged exposure.

Well, my world has a guardian for Earth, and the previous guardian had died shortly after I was born. When I got back, his old assistant offered me the job. So I've been watching over the Earth for about ten years now. That may be giving you that sense.

Heh. Guardian of the Earth. Some circles just call that job title "God."

Not this one. The bureaucrats on the other side don't like the idea of a guy in the living world being called a god.

Whatever they call it, does it have any effect on your lifespan? Sounds like the kind of thing that'd get unstable if they had to get a new guy every sixty years or so.

Well, I'm half Saiyan, which gives me a longer lifespan than any human. But yeah, they have some stuff to extend a guardian's life.
