Hello, Hello, guess what? Best news ever: I’ve just completed a leading role in low budget horror film! Can you believe it? I’m a star! No matter that the director of photography has indicated that, in the cold light of day, the footage is uneditable and our efforts fruitless!!
I have no other news of comparable quality...but, well, I’m reading a book dealing with ancient Roman history. This allows me to ponder the futility and fragility of human endeavour (rejoice or wallow? - not sure). I’m watching loads of films (the usual) but have nothing special to recommend.
Just a few more days until the big Italian adventure...crazy kids: we’ve got nothing planned/secured! We’ve only booked the flights and a super-super-economy car. Three days after we’re back, my sister is visiting and we’re taking her to Paris. I sort-a, kind-a hate cities but it should be ok - the saving grace, of course is the shopping angle. Speaking of shopping, the best shoe store in this one-horse-town (Poste Mistress) is having a sale beginning Wednesday. I’m taking the morning off so I can be joined in eternal, holy matrimony with these beauties (by Dries Van Noten - I got an inside tip from the SA that they will go for 150.00 - I’ve been waiting and saving for months).
