I'm back to playing the role of Grandpa's dutiful nurseaide for the remainder of the week. Up until now, it really hasn't caused me much distress besides temporarily exhaustion. However, he's become rather ill-tempered and I find myself at the brunt of his foul mood. Everything move I make is too loud, jarring, or disruptive and I cannot seem to complete any task to his specification. I threw up my hands and told my mother that this would be the last week I was back to help out. I was wracked with immeasurable guilt by the time the sentence had left my mouth and will - of course - continue to tow the line.
On a rather positive note, I have been able to accomplish some minor feats and have even been able to enjoy what downtime I've had. I spent last Friday (or was it the Friday before?) catching up with an old friend during a sip-and-discuss excursion that lasted until 5:00AM. I've also been writing quite a bit, and have made a dent in my
reading list and
DVD pile.

I was delightfully surprised by today/tonight's turn of events to forgo further hoopla and let the man get his nomination. I'm still on shaky ground in terms of how I feel about Biden, though.
My mid-October jaunt to Washington, D.C. is all finalized. I cannot express how excited I am. Here is to hoping that C.Brett and Bill are as excited to see me as I am to see them.
I thought I would return us all to a kinder, simpler time by posting something exciting to close us out. I leave you with the trailer for
