prince of persiaaaaaa!
Absolutely NOT regretting my super last minute decision to catch the show today since work was pretty alright. *A* I went in expecting nothing since I've only watched the trailers once, and I was pretty blown away. I mean sure some parts had me go "HUH WAIT HOW DID IT JUMP TO THIS" but I purely enjoyed every second of it, and it certainly gripped my attention the whole time!
I never played the game except the old MS-DOS one LOOLLLLLLL so I pretty much don't bother/care about it being closely linked or whatever.
I wished that they'd show more of Dastan's awesome parkouring skills, and how by parkouring it shows the beautiful setting and place. *A* Dudeeee I can't express how much I really love the costumes and setting for the show!
The plot kind of got a little predictable towards the end with a certain tribal man's fate, but me not playing the game, the end END kind of surprised me! I however quite liked the constant banter between Dastan and Tamina, haha mannn they have such nice onscreen chemistry though the kiss underground made me go LOLLERCOPTERS HEY THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT. I also quite like Jake Gyllenhaal's role here, mmmmm damn that dreamy stare can slay a girl (and whenever he winks too gdit)! >Ayours truly wanted to rip the giant poster off the cinema walls just so I can hang it in my room hhnghhhhhhhhhh
Alfred Molina as Sheikh Amar was pretty stellar too, haha maaaaan I love his complaints about the Persian government and their 'secret government weapon' (the Hashashins before they were disbanded) and tax rants and all that shiz. AND OSTRICH RACING WTF.
OYEAH did anyone else think of the Hashashins = Nazgul/Ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings? lolol the part where they were chasing Tamina and Dastan on horseback surely reminded me so, and it doesn't help that they're all dressed in black too. oh and probably this is no surprise to some of my friends but when the Hashashin leader (serpent dude) appeared for the first time I was like ooooooh who is this creepy ikemen HAHAHA

I AM GOING TO WATCH IT AGAIN. PRETTY SOON TOO. 8D
and I just told my parents to get the DVD so that I can rewatch it until it cracks or something.
