So so glad I made the decision to watch the Nodame Cantabile (Paris Arc) movie tonight instead of Sunday! Any putting it off and I might really have died from many forms of inner disappointment and frustration heh.
No spoilery rants here, but I'm reminded of why I love the drama/live action so much more than the anime or manga, which I couldn't seem to be really interested in. Somehow there's more expression to it, and I love it when they show the actual orchestra playing. It's really moving, and goddamn I still tearjerk at some classical pieces (in this case I kinda bawled at the end of when they played Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture hurhurr)... I like it for the fact of how they portray that they enjoy playing music so much that it's written on their faces and it makes their souls totally alive. God. Anyone who loves to create can understand that feeling and it's something I surely wish I could get back. ahhhhh I absolutely cannot wait for Part 2 of the movie, which will conclude everything! 17th April come sooonerrrrr! Oh yea I was also really surprised that Eiji Wentz acted in there and I think the actress for Tanya is quite pretty.
Which reminds me, I want to go and see an actual orchestra someday or go and watch the MPO when I get home! I actually like classical music, but the problem is I don't know WHICH pieces are the ones that I like or composers even... it's like I have to listen to them then I'll know. :/ Though I notice that I tend to like the compositions that are pretty quick in tempo, or have a changing one like from soft to loud and slow to fast all in one song. Examples of that would be like Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" (<3 this SO much), Rachmaninoff's "Piano Concerto No.2 in c-", Franz Liszt's "La Campanella" ...but I kind of like slower pieces like Chopin's "Tristesse" too. Hmmm I guess it also depends on which recording and etc whatnot. D:
Oho and before the movie they showed the Layton movie trailer; oh my God I am SLAIN by the smoothness of the Professor's voice *_____* It's coming out on the 16th next week, so I'll be sure to watch that! Along with Dreamworks' How to Train Your Dragon, which is about vikings and dragons and that itself is an awesome combo.
