The more I progress further in Atsumori's route, the more my heart aches. Continuing off from
this entry...
Who would have ever guessed that you would obtain the missing Yasakani no Magatama fragment from CHAPTER 1? D8 Seriously, I was getting so sick of chapter 5, I didn't mind replaying chapter 1 at all. In Chapter 1, you follow Kurou to the nearby Heike outpost and defeat Koremori there, who so happens to have the Magatama and Nozomi is obviously very elated at this piece of news!
Nozomi then time skips to chapter 3, where she first met Atsumori and uses the Magatama to calm him down. Upon his waking from his wounds, she hands him the Magatama and tells him that she KNOWS that he's an onryou. Atsumori obviously says nothing to this, but from the look of his uh, character art you can tell that he's confused (and kind of surprised that she knew). Not much changes happen in chapter 3, just that you FINALLY get to complete his 公達の正体 bond and the one after that (平家を捨てる). Whew T^T
AND HERE WE GO BACK TO CHAPTER 5 AGAIN, AUGH. *vomits*
Once again, you meet up with Atsumori in the forest and talk with him until he mentions the loss of the Magatama, and then Nozomi scolds him along the lines of, "Why do you think I went to get the Magatama for you?!" when Atsumori begs her to seal him if he loses control. D; The next few lines are kind of sweet, because Atsumori is being very adamant on how he's not fit to be her Hachiyou and will only bring trouble and Nozomi protests, saying that she doesn't like the way he's talking now. She was mentioning that she really loves the sound of his flute and that Atsumori isn't really a bad person, awwwwwwww! ;_; She asks him to play the flute for her, and they are then interrupted by the strummings of a biwa, coming from the nearby Heike encampment.
And the scene changes to Atsumori zoning out for a bit, and then tears come to his eyes. LIKE THIS. ;____;
His expression after this was one full of emotional pain. T____T orz
Atsumori sort of starts to crack a little, saying that the sound of the biwa is actually his older brother's playing. Older brother would be Taira no Tsunemasa, to be exact. Hmm, I couldn't really understand this part because I was a bit distracted but I think it's something about him saying that they both loved music, and would play their desired instruments together WHEN Atsumori was still human (not dead and brought back to life like he is now). He mentions that the sound of the biwa is very nostalgic to him, and in the end, he really couldn't throw his family away... But after awhile of calming down with Nozomi saying stuff in between, he vows to battle his family, as he wants to stop all this onryou reviving nonsense.
As a final farewell or reminiscence of sorts, Atsumori picks up his flute to play along with the distant sounds of the biwa. And when the music finally settles, both him and Nozomi return to the Genji camp to prepare for battle.
..I-I still need to finish playing the rest of chapter 5 before I can progress onto chapter 6. DDDDX
