Haruka3: Kurenai no Tsuki
After the long wait, it's finally out! 8DD I've watched it about an hour ago, and oh dear, I cannot seem to watch anything while keeping a straight face anymore. As much as the overall mood of it was very serious like the game itself (my heart felt like breaking at one point), I just couldn't stop snerking and laughing at some parts, like when the Hachiyou stopped at one village to rest and Masaomi was there.
First off, we begin with Nozomi walking out in the rice fields and familiarizing herself with the village. She then sees a familiar person... Oh my, who can that be? :O
IT IS NONE OTHER THAN MASAOMI, WHO SUDDENLY HAS THE BISHONEN BEAM AND ADDED EFFECTS FROM THE WARM EVENING GLOW. It's like a total shining bishonen beam that's IN YOUR FACE.
Nozomi: *gasp* Oh my, I never knew that my childhood friend was this hot! Three years has made him into some super ultra hot hunk!! :OO *blushblush*
Masaomi: HEY THAR NOZOMI. LOVE STARING AT MY SIX PACKS YES?
Nozomi: *still in shock* Err ehh no~ aahhh Nozomi, why are you so cute? ;_; though I think my reaction would be like hers if I were put in the same situation
Nozomi: D-dinner's about to be ready so please come back soon! *runs off*
Masaomi: ... Okay. ORZ
That aside, here's a rant about it and some screencaps!
I absolutely adore the backgrounds. The quality of it is very much like Maihitoyo's, and it greatly reminds me of my Light & Mood assignments (OTL). One day, I hope that I'll be able to illustrate backgrounds like that! T^T Also, I think the animators did a nice job of animating the characters, seeing that the Harutoki3 costumes are all BRAIN BREAK in terms of pattern and colours... and Kurou's amazing hair. I like how it was drawn! *ahem*
Anyway, Kurenai no Tsuki takes place when the Genji are already in Kumano, after they tried to get Kumano to help them but Hinoe (who is the Kumano no Betto) refuses. The whole story leads up all the way to when Masako literally leads Kurou's battalion to death, and Nozomi is the only sole survivor because Hakuryuu sends her back. She then comes back to save everyone with a resolve. The part where Ridvan got stabbed and shot by arrows was very painful to watch! ;_; Sensei! It was bad enough in the game where everyone dies, but to watch it in a different perspective... super ouch. ))))):
Oh yeah, this show is also very Masaomi/Nozomi centric as they followed most of his events in the game... which I don't really mind, because of this Masaomi's growing on me now. They tied in his events quite nicely, with a mix bag of the others as well. Anyway, here are the screencaps and some commentary!
This is after Hinoe reveals that he is the Kumano no Betto, and Nozomi pleads him to help them so the war would end quickly~ The way she asked was so cute!
Hinoe being Hinoe, of course teases her a bit and causes her to fluster. X3
AND THEN WE HAVE HIS 25 YEAR OLD UNCLE HITTING ON HER FOOLING AROUND WITH HER AFTER THAT. Benkei loves picking on her naive nature, because she tries to ask him some things and Benkei is a man of secrets, so yeah.
Why do you want to know? >) *favourite scene yo, it's just like the game's CG still* Somehow, the Suzaku pair in Harutoki3 seem like super flirts (in a sense) to me lolol.
ERGH, THE BITCH. Pls die. I must commend her voice actress for being able to sound so bitchy though. :O
IT'S SUPERMAN!!!1111oenoeneone *GETS WHACKED BY carneaglariel* Enter, Tomomori! Who had so few lines and screen time, oh the poor Taira wolf. Though at one part, he sounded so much like a stoner.
Ah, the Masaomi/Nozomi waterfall scene in the game. 'Twas very touching! *wants to be in Nozomi's position*
Atsumori, the resident emo pretty boy of the Hachiyou. I loved the overall mood of this scene... the colours are really awesome. ♥
This is the scene where you needed that annoying horse-riding skill in the game, or else you won't be able to get one of Benkei's bond thingies and also Kurou's. I pity the poor horses, having to run down an almost 90° cliff. D;
Nozomi lets the cat out of the bag about Masaomi and Benkei, and Kurou is taking this really hard... poor boy. I like this still a lot though, even if it is quite depressing (what with their solemn expressions).
Ahh, I hope a sub for this comes out soon! And I really want to finish Harutoki3 so badly now... especially before my holiday ends. But I still have my holiday homework to finish and I'll be going out again for the next two days. T_T
