Patient Admits Killing Psychiatrist, Police Say
Devotion to Most Severe Cases Raises Risk of Personal Danger
NIMH Administrator Wayne S. Fenton, 53 (Obituary)

These were sent to me through a support group I attend.  This is one of the doctors nice enough to be a guest speaker several times discussing his efforts to improve mental health in the Washington metropolitan area.  Though I only saw him a couple times and did not know him personally it saddens me to see one of the few, truly caring people in this world perish.  Even within the psychiatric community it can be rather difficult to find a doctor that you ever get a sense of compassion from.  Hopefully some good can come from this but I only suspect the usual reaction of strengthening the public's stereotyping of mental illness.  Don't let your personal bias taint what this man set out to accomplish with his life.  In his own words:All one has to do is walk through a downtown area to appreciate that the availability of adequate treatment for patients with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses is a serious problem for the country. We wouldn't let our 80-year-old mother with Alzheimers live on a grate. Why is it all right for a 30-year old daughter with schizophrenia?

Milwaukee Police Say 11-Year-Old Girl Is Sexually Assaulted by As Many As 20 Boys
The 11-year-old then went to the basement, where there were about 15 males and she told police she "began to choose who she wanted to perform oral sex on," court papers said.
Well wow...  I have to admit my eyes bugged out at that one despite the horrendous articles I stumble across on a regular basis.  I guess they're really starting early these days aren't they?   I don't want to imagine what kind of trauma could possibly lead to such behavior.  Let's see how child protection services handles this masterfully with the end-all cure of foster care!

For those familiar with my Myspace profile I have changed the mp3 player to the newer Joeren v2.3d player, which will give me much more control over it.  I managed to change the colors to match better and cover up most of it (the playlist part) to make it more compact but it still doesn't quite fit.  Maybe someday I'll learn how to edit the skin for it since this version doesn't have a multitude of choices available.  Regardless there is another treat you'll not want to miss up.  The playlist has been swapped out with an entirely new track nobody in the world has heard before.  I started working on this the 14th of July and let it grow mold for a while before I finally got around to finalizing it to the point I could let anyone listen.  Yes, still amateurish crap like before.  I have two or three other songs that are in the similar position of being almost done.  I've kind of decided I'll do what I can to get them out and that's it.  I really don't have the time or motivation to work on music much anymore.  Like everything else I soon grow invincible to any joy my efforts could bring and have to move on to the next passion.  Enjoy it while you can folks.
