I have four fewer teeth than I did this morning! I was pretty lucky, too-- they weren't impacted in my jaw so they were pretty easy to pull = less pain for me. I'm glad to have an easy surgery for once; I feel like I deserve it. =P Not that anyone deserves a difficult surgery, but, you know. It was nice to have a break.
They announced to me that I'd be getting an IV and involuntarily I yelled, "AAAH." Ha way to be mature. One of the doctors (or maybe she was a nurse) was really nice though and so she was talking to me to distract me.
Leaving the office is definitely hazy in my memory. It is a bit scary to have hours of time where I don't remember anything, and it's different from sleep, because you know when you were asleep; after getting anesthesia, you know that you were awake at certain times, but your recall for what you did and what you said is-- zip. Mental debilitation must be the most terrifying and frustrating experience ever.
In other news, I WATCHED EDWARD SCISSORHANDS =D. It was weird and creepy and great. I didn't love it, though, I liked Willy Wonka better, and I think I'm going to love Nightmare Before Christmas, which I cannot wait to watch.
Unnfortunately, I am going to be seriously behind on my planned summer reading. =( I have not yet finished The Count of Monte Cristo but I only have about 300 pages left out of 1243! so I'm hoping to finish that within the next couple days. But I didn't factor Harry Potter into my summer reading, so I want to reread the sixth book after Monte Cristo, which might take me up to the time when the 7th one comes out. Lucily, Harry Potter books always go quickly. I have to do the Duke summer reading though, too, and I also wanted to at least read Madame Bovary, Pride and Prejudice and Middlemarch this summer (hooray feminism!). We'll see how that goes.
