Dumbledore
I absolutely adore the fact that Dumbledore is gay. Not only does it provide alot of good fanfic material, but it's just a great "fuck you" to all the religious idiots who don't like Harry Potter cause its about witchcraft. people really make me mad about how pissed off they get about it though! I would understand if you just wrote like an epic McGonagall/Dumbledore fic and JK was like "JAYKAY HE'S GAY!". But you can just throw on a note that says "Dumbledore is not gay" or AU or something. Annoying problems that peopel have with this:
1. "Its adult content! I can't have my children exposed to that!" It's no more adult content than the heterosexual relationships in the book! If they had graphic scenes with Dumbledore fucking Grindewald up the ass then ,yeah, that'd be adult content and very innappropriate.
2. "But that means he probably like raped Harry in his sleep!!!!!!111!!!eleven" No. No it doesn't. Gay does not equal pedophile.
3. "It's wrong!" STFU. I don't even get people sometimes. Which is why I have declared all redheads to be immoral. When people are like, "WTF?" I'll just be like, "exactly."
4. "It's unnatural!" I've only seen that a few times talking about Dumbledore but alot talking about homosexuality in general. A guy on youtube made a point that I LOVE in a sarcastic video called "Top 10 reasons why Homosexuality is Wrong" or something along those lines. "Reason number one, it's unnatural. Yeah cause americans hate everythign unnatural like snack cakes..." It made my life.
5. "it makes Dumbledore more realistic, cause he has faults!" >_> It's not a goddam fault! Dear god people are annoying. Its just a fact. It was only necessary to tell us that because someone asked JK about Dumbledore's love life.
Okay I'm done now. This is like a year late but whatever. Yay Dumbley and Grindey!
