[ The video flicks on to a Meowth, sitting pretty on a bed in Niou's room at the Ecruteak Inn. She's cleaning her whiskers, but is quick to look up at the camera. ]

['sup, Niou. your balcony is being commandeered by a Fuji dropping down from... apparently the balcony above that. there is a frantic flapping of green Flygon wings, and he swings in, crouching. there's then something like a pleased grin as he turns back and waves to his flygon, before knocking on the balcony door.]

[ Niou looks on approvingly. That's much more awesome than just taking the elevator and coming to the door. It's not locked, so Niou just beckons Fuji in.

He's seated on the bed next to the Meowth, who's occupying herself with the suspiciously purple feather teaser in Niou's hand. ]

[And he does so, cheerfully, sliding open the glass door and ushering himself in. The first thing he notices, of course, is the purple feather teaser -- his eyes gravitate to the movement of the object; though he's known Niou's ditto long enough to get a good idea of what it might be.

he stalks in and heads immediately for the dresser table. Throwing a quip over his back--]

Thinking of becoming a crazy cat lady? Because I think I know just the right porch.

[ Niou and the now-attentive cat both track Fuji's movements across the room, one warily and the other curiously. Even the feather wand manifests eyes to blink after the boy. ]

Think I could pull it off? I'm gonna need a lot more cats.

action.

[reimprovise]

I think you have that set, really. They seem to be multiplying these days. [He doesn't stop until he's a the dresser, peering intently at the mirror. Then, fishing out a small, black container of lipstick, he pops the lid off and starts twisting the dial.]

[ Niou ceases his efforts to reclaim the cat's attention in favour of staring skeptically at Fuji's reflection. ]

Well, if I get the cats part down, looks like you're workin' on the 'lady' bit?

action.

[reimprovise]

Oh, shush, you. [A bit rushed here as he thoughtfully regards himself in the mirror, before applying lipstick steadily.] Though I suppose together, we could commandeer a porch. Though my only stipulation is that someone needs to keep the cats from eating me alive.

action.

[ Compelled by curiosity, Niou slides off the bed and comes to stand behind Fuji, leaving a comfortable distance between them. He examines their reflections with that same intense skepticism. ]

I can keep the cats off you, but I don't know about the men.

action.

[reimprovise]

[that elicits a snort. he breaks off from applying lipstick to stare at Niou's image with a half-frown, half-exasperated quirk--]

Useful, aren't you.

[--before reaching onto the mirror and drawing a lipstick heart vindictively around where Niou's reflection is. satisfied, he goes back to finishing the rest of his task.]

[ Niou makes a kissy face at Fuji's reflection once the heart is drawn, throwing in a mocking wink. ]

Well, if you're lookin' to learn to crossdress, I might be.

[ He says it for all the world like learning to crossdress is the most ordinary thing for a fourteen-year-old boy to want to do. ]

[reimprovise]

[he finishes with the lipstick, capping it again. a moment, as he stares into the mirror with consideration.]

Why, looking to pass on the secrets of your trade? I wouldn't think I'm the proper successor to that sort of thing. -- Ah, she's right.

You'd make a perfectly pretty girl. Who's right about what?

[ Now he's looking on more curiously than anything. ]

action.

That I'm not a crimson person, all things considered. And I hope you mean that in a joking sense.

Well, not in that lipstick, you wouldn't, but you would make a pretty girl. All jokin' aside.

I think I almost prefer the joking. I do like keeping my masculinity intact. [says the guy with lipstick]

[ There's a 'what little you have' joke here, but Niou bites his tongue. ]

If you can't crossdress and still keep your masculinity intact, you've got less goin' for you than I thought.
