I had a job interview the other day and one of their questions was, "what's your favorite fruit?"
See, I was stumped there for a minute out of the sheer silliness of the question but then I thought, "well, maybe the interviewer is hungry. I shouldn't pass judgement on questions based on hunger. That would be equally as silly!"
So, I answered peaches. followed quickly by grapes with an exclamation mark. I was going to continue on with raspberries, and oranges, and watermelon, and pears. But then I stopped myself because she seemed satisfied with the peaches and grapes. Well done, Chantale. Well done.
Lesson learnt: know your fruit before going to an interview rather then aims and goals and skills and experience. That's all bullshit. Fruit is what employers really care about.
