Well, it's done. We finally cleared the last of the stuff out of the old Rochester house, and left the keys to be delivered to the new owners. We lost a whole day due to the Blizzard of 2006, getting stuck in Palenville at the top of an unplowed, icy, and snowy mountain road. We're here safely, although Michigan really ought to change its motto to "we never fucking plow our roads." The hospice people and ambulance are just about to arrive to take Rachel to the hospital overnight. More later....

We're heading out the door to go to Minnesota now. The situation has deteriorated significantly, and instead of this being a last week to spend with Rachel while she's active, it looks like we're going to be there for the end.

I'm not sure exactly when we'll be back.

We're not done with everything we said we'd be done with by now on our project, so I'm in the office this weekend getting us caught up. I suspect that we'll be staying in Toronto until at least Samhain, if not U.S. Thanksgiving....

We went to the Kingston Messabout over the weekend. On Saturday night, we were hanging out aboard a Bolger Watervan, playing music in the aft salon and having a singalong, when we noticed out the starboard side windows that the Aurora Borealis was on display.
