Ten things...

Just because all the cool people are doing it, here are ten things that I've done that you probably haven't:
  1. Founded a religious order.
  2. Invented a programming language.
  3. Built a boat from scratch.
  4. Gone to Chautauqua every single year of my life.
  5. Been a bridesmaid, a groomsman, a wedding officiant, a groom, and am in line to be a bride.

One of these days I may actually finish designing a programming language.

Whether anyone else would want to touch it with a 10-foot pole afterwards is another question entirely.

Maybe it's a programming language concerned with 10 foot poles... ? *wink*

I hosted a radio show! I know someone who built a boat - it's a kayak that lives in his basement -- nothing as fancy as yours.

I don't see him -- his username is outdoortoys -- he's pretty new and hasn't written too much yet.

I founded the Church of the Super Genius. Did you found a serious one?

Is that like the reverse of being SubGenius (like me)?

The Church of the SuperGenius denies being a parody of the Church of the SubGenius, but we are a Discordian heresy and everyone knows you can't trust Discordians, especially when they are denying something.

We do, however, worship the true SuperGenius, Wile E. Coyote, the God For a Time When Nothing Works RightTM.

I invented a programming language too once, but as nobody else ever used it (indeed I never finished the interpreter) I don't know if that counts.

It wasn't very good. It was quite a lot like FORTH. Maybe these two things are related.

I emigrated to another country. Well, the same as you. And I was a news reader at my college radio, which is not quite the same as hosting a show.
