(no subject)
Till now, I can't believe i'm a mum of 2.
Confinement... Mom is surprisingly more relaxed abt certain things. She didn't say a word even though i sit directly under the ceiling fan, sit near the window when there're big gusts of wind, didn't wear socks or long pants, wash hair every day, etc.
Also, I managed to sneak out for some fun with Alv and Leo! (Shhh, mom doesn't know!) Last Fri, after my gynae's apptment, Alv took me to taka for some shoppping, also to get an Elmo backpack and Sesame St bedsheet for Leo (cos there was a Sesame St fair then). Then, yesterday, after registering Charis' birth at the hospital, we brought Leo to taka to catch the Sesame St show! It was a mad rush to catch the 4pm show! We reached Ngee Ann City at 4.05pm. Leo and I got off at the drop off point while Alv went to park. I carried Leo (all 14kg of him!) and rushed down the escalator to B1 where the show had already started. Of cos, there was no more seating space but we got a good spot at the side of the stage. We could see everything on stage clearly without the speakers blaring at us but I had to carry Leo all the time otherwise he wouldn't be able to see. It was a back-breaking 15 mins but it was WORTH IT. Leo was mesmerized by the sight of Elmo, Ernie, Bert and Cookie Monster singing and dancing. To me, it was a wonderful bonding session between me and Leo. I missed hanging out one-on-one with Leo!
After a period of transition, Leo spent his first full day at childcare today. His teacher said he was really good in school today (whatever that means!) except that he had difficulty napping in the new place...
Charis, my little princess... She's really precious and sweet. I love her little mole! One thing that frustrates me is that she has a very erratic feeding pattern. Takes really long to finish her milk and takes forever to burp!
Cxil and Miaoting came to visit on Mon. They look absolutely fabulous! Too bad i can't hang out with them! This is the 2nd time that Cxil came back during my confinement! Hope that doesn't happen again!!! Cxil carried Charis for a while... she slept soundly in cxil's arms, probably cos she just had her milk. Unfortunately, Leo wasn't in a good mood after his nap so Cxil and MT only got to see him whine.
Mag and Siok Ai came to visit last night. I haven't seen Siok Ai in years and it was really good to see her again :) Leo was very excited and kept running around and playing with them. It was a good 'workout' for him cos he slept really well last night! Thanks again, Mag and Siok Ai for the thoughtful gift, I really appreciate it :)
