dialogue vs dialog

funny that this should come up after Grace's post on the 2 versions of Harry Potter...

my colleagues and i are trying to find out whether 'dialogue' or 'dialog' is used in the US. People who are staying in the US or have stayed in the US, care to comment?

i think the UK/US systems make me lose confidence when i spell. (i think u're right that chiara spells better than i.. haha) anyway... i think i mix them all up and sometimes use both system in one sentence.
