= Another week in the books. Hip hip. It feels like this year is just flying by.
= Dollhouse continues to challenge my devotion to Joss with every passing week. Last night's ep made me want to hit myself in the head with hard, unforgiving things. I was afraid my eyes were going to pop out of my head from rolling so much. And since Eliza's pretty much on the "forget the first five episodes, they suck, make sure you watch episodes 6-13 when it actually gets good" PR kick, I guess I can skip next week, yeah? Feh. (Wait, I just read that next week is a Tim Minear written/directed ep, so I'm totally there for that. He's amazing.)
= To balance out the pain, I re-listened to the Dr Horrible Commentary Musical, which is nearly as good as the original musical itself. Why can't THAT be a new Fox TV series?
= But I also watched Friday Night Lights last night because I wanted to see Street's last episode again. I loved the way the show said goodbye to Smash a few weeks before this and then gave Street a potential happily-ever-after, too. And as tearful as Jason's reunion with his new family was, it was the closeup on Tim that did me in. Taking that huge breath and realizing that, with his best friend thousands of miles away, his own life is forever changed. Bravo to Scott Porter and Taylor Kitsch for a beautiful ride the last few years.
= Random link that I found oddly fascinating:
The 100 oldest .com/.org/.net/.edu domains = I really need Chris Brown to go to jail. Lots.
= So my Pops came into my office yesterday because he was leaving for a job (he's a driver/chauffeur). As usual, I asked him what his jobs were like that day.. you know, where he's going, who he's picking up, etc. Sometimes he picks up some really interesting people or takes people to really interesting places.
The conversation went like this:
Me: So what are your jobs like today?
Pops: Do you know Criag Robinson?
Me: FROM THE OFFICE!?!?!?
Pops: No.
Me: Oh. Hm. Ohhh...
Pops: Michelle Obama's older brother.
Me: Eeeeeee! *claps hands like an idiot*
I won't say anything else about it except that apparently Mr. Robinson was VERY nice and easy-going and down to earth, my Pops really liked him.
= I hadn't caught up on the last few episodes of Life On Mars, but I'm sorry to see it go. I really hope Jason O'Mara gets picked up for something else, because he's super talented and quite pretty. :)
= I didn't make a whole post about it like I usually do, but I thoroughly enjoyed The Office (Blood Drive) this week. Nothing too big happened at all, and it wasn't particularly LMAO funny; it was just a nice little slice of daily life that was immensely satisfying.
= I'm off to re-arrange some stuff in my bedroom so maintenance can fix some water damage on Monday. Busy weekend ahead.. have a great one!
