Big Brother Eviction Nights aren't usually that good to me...
Tonight, Big Brother rewarded me for 7 seasons of loyal viewing, for all the heartache that always immediately followed happiness, and for all the CRAPPY WINNERS they've given me over the years.
Not only did Dick's plan to save himself work, thanks to Eric actually doing his job as America's Player and taking a HORRIBLE deal that he and Jess shouldn't have. Then! Dustin is evicted - surprisingly - and gives us the "oh!" face that made all the nervousing over the last 48 hours worth it. But then! Then! Then my adorable little Dani won HOH! For her birthday week! Eeeee!
Now, Nick has been doing chats in his chat room the last couple of nights. He's still completely over the moon for Dani, watches the show every time it's on, catches up on clips and Showtime and is pulling for Dani like crazy. Over the last week, on the feeds, Dani has expressed the desire to get a letter from Nick for her birthday, so many of his fans sent along word to him that it's what Dani would love to receive. He made a point of contacting CBS to see if they'd let him send one to her and insinuated in the chat room that he had, in fact, sent one.
(Random adorable fact that we didn't know before... While we knew that he had left her his t-shirt, his bandana, his luggage "key to his heart" and his cologne, we had no idea that she, in fact, gave him her key necklace as well. And he's been wearing it since he left. Awwww!)
Anyway! So Dani got her HOH room and was very nervous about the pictures that would be in her room. To me, it seemed like she would feel awkward if the same pics of her and Kris were up on her walls while hoping for something from Nick.
-- As an aside, I pass no judgment on Dani in this situation because her relationship with Kris is something I know nothing about. If Nick and Dani make each other happy, then I'm all for it. --

The letter she received was a scrapbook-ey pink letter from Nick, done in calligraphy (a hobby of his) or something close to it. You can see the front and back here:

First & foremost, Happy Birthday Blondie! I miss you so much. I know that things in the house are hard but you will persevere because of how strong & determined you are. Congrats on HOH, I'm proud of you & expected nothing less...such a competitor. I miss every thing about you but I get to see your "purty" face often so that keeps my spirits up. Simba says, "Meow" ... Joe says, "Oh my knees" ... & my parents say, "Hello" ... Tell Zach I say, "Hey" & to stop fake sleeping.. muahahaha. You're so beautiful, personable, funny & intelligent & I can't wait to see you again... Hopefully, there is a Eurotrip lined up in the near future. I'll have my people talk to your people (wink). Then it's "Dani & me tonight," Hawk Twa & 153 Dollface...

As of right now, Dani wants to backdoor Jen. Nominations are tomorrow, and it seems like Amber and Jameka will go up, and if the POV is used, Jen will go up.
No matter what, it's a great week. Dani has never been happier than she was tonight after getting that letter. I'm serious, she couldn't stop talking about how happy she was, that was all she really needed. Her 21st birthday is Monday, she may get another letter or a gift (he hinted that he sent a gift as well), and I can't wait to see her next HOH blog! I'm just going to enjoy this week as much as possible, because it could all go to crap next week. :)
