Outside the grocery store this afternoon, there was a skywriter. The wind was heavy so I missed the first part. Thanks to an employee gathering carts who was as intrigued as I, I found out that the already-destroyed words were "WHO WILL" and I stuck around - standing in the parking lot - to read the rest. I guessed correctly, and the skywriter finished with "SHE CHOOSE?" Color me curious! Because.. I don't know! Who will she choose!? Wait, who's "she"??!?! I assumed they would leave another clue after the question mark so I could know what the hell they were talking about. They didn't. I stood there and watched that little plane fly away without telling me. I cursed at it a little bit, maybe. And this unanswered question has been bothering me ever since.
Now, if they had written out, "Are you on the list?" it would've made my day. Instead, I'm just bothered with trying to figure out who "she" is, what her choices are, and ultimately, which one she's going to choose.
Grr. Argh.
ETA: And this is just one reason I love the Internets. A simple "who will she choose?" into Google and I found someone who posted that they saw this same message on 12/31
here in Los Angeles. And others are responding that it's because of the ABC Family show "Wildfire." First, letdown! Second, now that they mention it, I've seen those bilboards around the last few weeks and it all makes sense now. Candy head=okay.
ETA 2: Even more reason to love YouTube, inparticular, someone took *video* of the same message being written in Alhambra 1/1 - see it
here. I know this means nothing to anyone else, but it was really bugging me, and I'm astounded by the power of the net, to be quite honest. Such a random question, and a plethora of answers!
