It seems that SG-1 has been cancelled by the SciFi Channel. Read the story here.
It's not like I didn't know this would happen, but I'm strangely saddened by this. The show is nothing like it used to be, a mere shadow of the show that I fell so madly and deeply for in a short 6-week span last Winter. Those first 8 seasons I love, hard. But even without Jack, I still watched and loved my Daniel, and of course Teal'c and Sam. I was even finding a way to love Mitchell, and um, not hate Vala (which has been hard!). I suppose I can't be upset when a show lasts 10 years, except that I've only had it for 9 months, so this feels strange.
Although, if this gives them an opportunity to end the show with a feature film, with JACK, then all will be forgiven. And. Um. Maybe they can send Daniel to Atlantis? *ducks* Ya know, since THAT show was renewed for a 4th season and all. Given that I can't even muster up the interest to watch this season, it'll take Daniel to get to me to watch next year of of that show. But whatever, this is still sad news, because even though it's what's best, it's just.. DANIEL. I don't want him to go away. He's absolutly in my top 2 or 3 of favorite tv characters of all time.
