Aww, Google surprised me!
Today is, apparently, the birthday of Joan Miro (1893-1983). He was a "Spanish painter, whose surrealist works, with their subject matter drawn from the realm of memory and imaginative fantasy, are some of the most original of the 20th century." You can view some of his works here. Not exactly my style, but yay for Google celebrating obscure (well, to me) artists!
I'm having one of those times where I have absolutely nothing to say - at work, to family, online, etc. It's a sad state of affairs. Usually people can't get me to shut up. Hm. Something to think about, at least.

ETA: Since when did LJ add "current location" to your current things? Is that an important piece of information? Do you need to know if I'm at the desk in my work office or at my desk at home? Or ohhh, maybe I could be at an Internet cafe or a friend's pad. How.. exciting. :|
