= Kare!
You were right! It looks like the next one will be Rock Star: Van Halen. It won't be quite as endearing to me, but it could be interesting, I guess.
= Congrats to the Astros fans and my sympathies to the St Louis fans. But I must say that this World Series is shaping up to be kinda boring for me, so I might not be watching much of it. lol
= Today officially marks the first turning on of the office heater. It's just so cooooold. The weathermen on my teevee tell me that it was supposed to pass and be sunny again, but they're lying to me. Because it's so cooooold. But because it's the first time it's been turned on in months, it means it has dust to burn off which lets off this annoying smell. ugh.
= This is a song by Jonatha Brooke that I love, it was also featured on the Buffy season 1 finale, Prophecy Girl. [

Thoughts on America's Next Top Model
I don't know why, but I'm going to pull for Lisa until she's eliminated. Well, at least until she pisses me off. Which might be soon, I don't know. But I *do* know that I hate it when a pack of girls gang up and pick on one girl. Lisa may be loud and may be a borderline alcoholic and she's blunt, but she's never flat out insulted anyone with any bad intentions (that they've shown, unless I missed something). She wants to win, for sure, but also firmly believe that she wants to beat the best girls possible, and if she sees what she thinks is a flaw, she'll tell them so they can improve.
That's not my way of thinking, I'd never do that, but it's hers, and she's not callously trying to hurt anyone. Almost everything she's told people are things that the judges have told them too, or are things they really do need to work on. So she needs some lessons in tact, but her intentions aren't bad. And yes, she expects to win everything, and that's obnoxious too, or just really, really self-motivating. We can see she's got a lot of issues, and I'm sure it's not helped by women hating on her for being good at what she does.
And she is, she's good. She may not be the most conventionally beautiful girl, but she's got a spark. It's that spark that I think they're looking for, that little something special. It's something Bre has shown now and then as well. How many of these girls have the judges said are just boring them? Nigel may hate Lisa, but he also admits that she has that little something that draws you to her. He's right on with that.
In fact, she reminds me a lot of Janelle from Big Brother this year, and like that situation, I have a feeling we're missing a LOT of what's really going on in these edits.
But Lisa was close to perfect last night and deserved to have her photo pulled first. I don't know how long she'll last, but for now, I'm pulling for her against all the Mean Girls.
= Bosses have left to go look at more property down in San Diego. Yay for an empty office! Now I just have to motivate myself to stop refreshing LJ and do the work piled on my desk. BAH.
