MUSIC!!!
so, i've finally managed to get to see some fun shows lately. last week was brand new which i'm glad we didn't have to pay for, because i don't think it was worth the price of admission. granted it was still a kick ass show with lots of jumping around and general crowd violence (the fun kind). and i'm pretty sure i caught a few people in the face with my elbows. wooops.
but last night.

natalie and i went to go see explosions in the sky. and they were amazing. fucking amazing. first off, for those of you who aren't aware, they're an instrumental quartet. which means all rockin out and no singing. and holy fuck do they rock out. honestly they have to be one of the most intense groups of musicians i've ever seen, not that i've seen hundreds of shows or anything. but still. every single drop of sweat was well earned, and there were at least three of those transcendental moments where all of a sudden it didn't matter that we were in a dark crowded former bus station. it was one of those infinite moments from "perks of being a wallflower".
ugh.
i was all crazy happy the rest of the night. there was skipping and some strange form of dancing... yeah. although my body is paying for it today with an obnoxious head cold that will only get worse cuz i have no cash and thus have to walk to work.
