As grumpy and stressed out as I can get, I can always count on video game sheet music to cheer me up; I found music for the overworld theme for Crystalis (!!) last week and I've been working on getting the timing down...
Also acquired: Poem of Everyone's Soul (Velvet Room theme music from the Persona series), FF Tactics - Brand Logo - Title Black (not sure if that's the official title or not? it's the title theme from FFT), Theme from Odin Sphere, and the Title to Wizards and Warriors...
I've been toying around with the idea of taking violin lessons (deterred, as usual, by lack of time for non-academic pursuits and lack of money for non-academic pursuits) for songs that are better suited to non-piano stringed instruments. I'm hesitant to try and learn on my own because I don't want to teach myself bad habits (poor posture & phrasing, etc.) that will be difficult to break. Also, I think I'd like to learn more about music theory in general; it really bugs me that I can't seem to play anything but the simplest melodies by ear.
AMA in less than a week now; so excited to see X-Strike again and everyone else!
