(no subject)
So, for the life of me, I can't seem to regularly update this thing. It's been over a month since my last update, and while I can say quite a bit has changed, it really appears as though not much has. Some of the more mentally tangible things that have happened in the last month or so: I've started tutoring a middleschooler in math. He's a smart kid, just has trouble sitting still for more than 5 seconds at a time. I really enjoy the challenge of teaching, and for the most part, he seems to understand. I just wonder what the retention will be. The other noteworthy news item is that I had an interveiw at OfficeMax today. Overall it went well. The guy who interveiwed me seemed really, really bland. I could tell that there was potential for him to be an interesting person, someone who keeps the day at work slightly jovial, but he didn't have it during the interveiw. At the end of the interveiw, he gave me a form for a urinalysis, which I took down to the urinalyisist, and took care of. It's amazing how easy it is to pee into a cup when you're not told you have to do it ASAP, and you've just used the restroom (Which is how nearly every urinalysis in the Marine Corps is conducted, so it seems).
I got to hang out with das_jojoba last night, go to dinner, and then ended up on a walk around LG. I really missed being intellectually stimulated to the level of our conversations. It's too bad that his hectic schedule has been running rings around him for the last little bit.
Other than that, there really hasn't been anything new in the past few months. Easter came and went, and I saw family I really didn't care for. My Dad visted for a week, and I grew tired of him rather quickly. Anyways, I think I've run the course of this post.
