So I'm counting down to Star Trek this weekend
I'm really excited about it too because I am totally an Original Series fangirl. None of the later generations won me over the way Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov did in all their dorkiness and datedness.
I've been following the articles in EW and it seems they're doing the right things (tribble references! Leonard Nimoy!) so I really, really want to like it. But I have some misgivings too. (What is this thing with Kirk and Uhura? I think they may have gotten together once or twice under some alien mind control--or maybe hormonal--influence but nothing serious.)
And it all boils down to this: IF THEY MESS UP THE CHARACTERS, I'LL NEVER FORGIVE THEM.
