A/N: I just want to thank EACH AND EVERY PERSON who has been reading this story! Even though I know not all of you can comment, the fact that you click on this to read the words I've written, means a lot to me. Although I do admit I get giggly and ridiculously happy at seeing each comment, I'm just grateful this story has been receiving so much love already. ;o; Also, a special thanks to a certain someone who made me love Junwoon, and who's helped given the stamp of approval on the chapters I write. Now I hope it just exceeds your expectations~~~ ENJOY!

It was the first time he tasted him.

Already the first blossoming of spring wove its way through the air. Dongwoon insisted on enjoying it firsthand. Firsthand apparently did not mean standing on the sidewalk in front of Junhyung's apartment building. Firsthand didn't even mean venturing to the nearby park for some front row seats to viewing trees and kids playing around. Apparently firsthand meant a trip to the mountainside. A place Junhyung had never been to, nor did he want to go. To him, it was too far out of the vicinities he spent so much time memorizing. It was just an unknown land waiting to taunt him with its uncharted bumps in the ground, and who knew what else.

However, to Dongwoon, it was a new adventure. It was an exploration into something fun and exciting, and a step forward into a meaningful experience. So after days of begging and constant promises that Dongwoon would keep him from running into any stray trees, or wild animals for that matter, Junhyung finally caved.

So there they were, a very uncontainable Dongwoon dragging him out the car, barely remembering to grab his walking stick, and shuffling them (very carelessly, Junhyung might add) to who the hell knew where. He kept rattling off how his family would come here when he was younger, a secret hot spot that no one else knew about. By the time they had stopped to what Dongwoon called 'just lovely', Junhyung's nails had dug themselves aghast dents into the other's sleeve. Succeeding to deal out a few, unforgiving curses, Dongwoon apologized with a hearty laugh and guided Junhyung (more carefully this time), to a cozy spot on the dry grass.

While Dongwoon mumbled that he forgot to bring a blanket, he shrugged it off by supplying Junhyung with a personally prepared picnic meal. He claimed it wasn't much, but Junhyung could tell just by the amount and variety of food he brought, that the other meticulously planned this out. It was only after he felt he couldn't expand his stomach any further with food, that he leaned slowly back. His palms flattened along the threads of grass that prickled fickly beneath his weight.

Now he let his senses take over. If he quirked his ears, he could hear the melodious chirping of birds, the faint hum of bees, and the harmony of leaves and grass swaying to the tenor breeze. If he inhaled through curious nostrils, he easily caught the nearby pine of aged trees, the crisp aroma of sprouting greenery, and the fragrant petals of newly unfurled flowers. If he curled long fingers, he could feel the soft dirt lodge into the crescent of his nails, the sharp edges of slanted grass, and the occasional flitter of an ant making its journey home.

"Those glasses look good on you. Wow, I have such good taste."

Junhyung's attention was brought back, a puff of air shooting past his lips as he shook his head. Resting on his nose was the pair of sunglasses that Dongwoon bought him. Although he wanted to decline the expensive gift, the younger insisted that he wear them since they suited his overall look better.

"I better look like a rockstar." Junhyung stated flatly.

"How cute, hyung. Since when did you get so confident?" Dongwoon teased, laughter proceeding his words.

To his dismay, Junhyung leaned forward, raising a hand to swat at whatever part of the other's body he could. But the younger suddenly exclaimed as if something just struck him.

"Wait, wait! Stay here! I've got an idea."

Junhyung could hear the scrambling of the other's body as he hurried to stand up. "Yah! Where are you going?!" he called, hearing the heavy footsteps carry Dongwoon away.

"Just stay there! I'll be right back!"

An irritated grumble scathed past his lips as he stared in the general direction the other scurried off to. "As if I could go anywhere. That brat."

So he waited. And waited.

And waited.

Turning his head, he tried to listen to the surrounding area for any signs of Dongwoon's return. All he received was that endless hum of nature's sounds. He didn't know how much time had passed, but considering the growing edginess in him, it had to have been a while. What was the other even doing? Did he go back to the car? Was he getting dessert? Maybe he had to make a phone call….

Junhyung's mind began to list off all of the possibilities he could think of. Yet none of them left him with a satisfied feeling. In fact, he was becoming more unsettled. More inclined to start hoping the other was alright. No wild animals attacked him, right? He would've heard shouts for help if that happened. Unless Dongwoon was so far off nothing but the stiff trees could hear him.

Shit. Junhyung was now entering a mode of concern. What if Dongwoon wasn't alright. He could've easily tripped over a tree root and was now crippled on the ground, unable to move. And here Junhyung was, useless, stuck in this imprisoned spot on the grass. Fuck it, if Dongwoon didn't return soon, he'd grab his walking stick and go search for him. This place couldn't be that bad. He had an idea of which direction he went in as well. It was to his left. No, no, it was to his right. Or was it more towards the back of him? Now Junhyung couldn't remember such a simple detail, his chest suddenly squeezing tightly as he brought tense hands to his hair in frustration, tugging on helpless roots as he wracked his brain trying to think.

Say Dongwoon really did get hurt and was trapped somewhere out there in the woods. He could just use his phone to call for emergency backup. They'd find him. But say Dongwoon was hurt to the point he was fatally bleeding. Then they wouldn't make it out here to the mountains in time. This sole thought was like a catalyst to all the other dark tension in him. It was so easy for his mind to shift into morbid visuals. Countless ways that could lead to the other's death. The one person who knocked his way into Junhyung's life with such unbelievable persistence. The one person who brought security and reassurance into even the most doubtful of situations. The one person who could make him smile and laugh from the corniest of jokes. The one person he had opened himself up to…

Due to his mind suddenly racing, twisting, and screaming with flashing images, he suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around him with a bearing of weight that left him breathless for a moment.

"Hey, hyung. I'm back! Missed me?"

The undeniable cheerful voice seemed out of place among the continuing battle in his own head.

"Yah!" his voice wrenched out, his body shaking the other off as an elbow fired out to push the solid body away. "Where were you?! What took you so long?!" He lost control of his own emotions, the anger surmounting in him.

Whatever Dongwoon had said next never quite reached Junhyung's usually keen ears.

"Where did you go?! Why'd you suddenly leave?! Why the hell did it take that long?! Yah, you idiot!"

"Hyung..."

"What if you got hurt?! Who do you think is gonna help you?! You shouldn't just disappear!"

"Hyung."

Junhyung had to pause to breathe, his throat already cracking from the strenuous use. He couldn't remember the last time he yelled. But then again, he couldn't remember the last time he had felt this level of anxiety.

"Hyung," Dongwoon spoke again, sounding feeble compared to the pounding of Junhyung's ears. "Were you… worried about me?"

"Of course I was worried! You can't just run off like that without telling me what the hell you're gonna do! What if something hap-" The softest pressure touched his cheek, rendering his voice to immediately fall while his heartbeat rose. All the ominous thoughts invading his mind slowly disintegrated as he tried to guess what the other just did. Now all that was left was his shallow panting and puzzlement.

"Did you just…?"

To answer the question, he felt those silken lips return and trace a path to the innocent patch of skin near his mouth, leaving behind a trail of trembling warmth in their wake.

"You worry too much sometimes, you know that?" Came Dongwoon's voice. He didn't need to hear those words though since he could follow every movement of those lips still hovering close to his. Like the hummingbird's wings searching for even a drop of nectar, Junhyung struggled to find any kind of coherent response.

"I had a reason to." His mouth was still cast into silent surprise after he uttered those words. When he heard a chuckle, it gave him the necessary nudge to ask the flaring question that would quench his confusion. "Yah… Why'd you do that?"

He was met with silence. A silence full of cautious wheels turning. Right then a spring breeze carrying a current of faint coolness spun around them, causing the hair above his eyes to shiver like the chords of his heart.

"Because…." One word. Followed by an unspoken confession stuck somewhere in the apprehensive passage of his throat, 'I like you…' What did verbally follow though was nothing but stutters, filled with an uncertainty. "S-Sorry. I won't… I won't do it ag-"

Before the rest could be vocalized, Junhyung's hand already lifted to tangle unwavering fingers into cotton fibers. Refusing to loosen his hold on the other's shirt, he allowed the sunlit rays of his desire to quietly shine through. "You can do it… if you want."

He wasn't used to saying words like this. Hell, he wasn't used to this sensation of his heart trying to rattle its way from his chest. But why should he reside in fear, preventing him from experiencing something he always thought was unreachable. Like hopeful fingers trying to pluck a cherry tulip from its hidden home beneath a looming tree, this time his fingers wouldn't try to take with no avail. This time he'd let his fingertips touch the soft stem and pull the flower from its earthen roots, only to be held against him as he cherished the moment.

"Really?" Dongwoon's tone revealed his surprise, but Junhyung already made up his mind. He knew what he wanted right now.

"…Yeah."

The first kiss came like the first warm day in spring. Like one of those days you'd tuck away your protective winter coat you'd been wearing for endless months, just to let yourself freely bask in the sun's generous embrace. He felt fingertips curve along his cheek and settle into a gentle cupping of his face. A thumb tilted his chin, and Junhyung didn't permit himself to be nervous. He waited, anticipating the first time he'd ever feel another's lips on his own. When it came, he realized he hadn't fully prepared himself. But could anything give him proper preparation for this?

Dongwoon's mouth hugged his own, these first seconds consisting of lingering contact. When the other's lips finally began to move, slowly, softly, Junhyung could still catch a few quivering breaths. As Dongwoon's mouth endowed that first, inescapable pressure of lips overtaking his own, Junhyung was cascaded in a waterfall of warmth. He tried to set his jaw into motion, to guide his lips against the other's, but they only stumbled in a clumsy rhythm. It was hard to match the attentive way Dongwoon's mouth drifted upon his, but he didn't give up, knowing that just ahead, the promised procession of spring would come to bring life to winter's cold hindrance.

The second kiss came like a day in the throes of spring. Already used to wearing thinner layers, content in the comfortable warmth. Flowers already in full bloom, nature was at the peak of its chorus. The grass beneath sighed out in amour as Junhyung found himself lying down, Dongwoon's mouth only leaving his own to find the curve of his chin, lips lavishing fondly over his skin. Like raking fingers through thin blades of grass, Junhyung firmly sailed his hand through the thick locks of Dongwoon's hair, bringing the younger closer. By now, his mouth could navigate against the other's in an effortless beat. A small bite would be matched with a tongue curling along avid lips. Soft caresses were partnered with mild, rapturous sighs.

The third kiss came like one of the last days in spring, where you were convinced the summer sun already bore its merciless heat onto you. Junhyung had already lost the ability to think under the suffocating heat of the sun, pearls of sweat collecting on his brows, the line off his jaw, and the hollows of his collarbones. Just like the frenzy heat could cause, his mind could only focus on one thing. And it was the sweet dew that he could tenderly lick from the satin surface of the other's tongue. The same resplendent flavor that lingered on the plush lower lip that Junhyung dared to graze his teeth along. It was this that hazed his mind like the approaching summer blaze, leaving him in a daze that despite all of the effects binding him to this state of weakness, he only wanted more.

It was that day he did have a new adventure, an exploration into something fun and exciting…. a meaningful experience. And it was that day he could see the fresh greens that spring had to offer.

Part 4 Owari.

I actually used a lot of metaphoric imagery in this chapter, so I hope it wasn't too confusing. ;o; If you'd like me to explain/reveal any of it, go ahead and ask me in comments!

THANK YOU!!!!
