Then once upon a time, my parents were in Darfur, and either had while there, or before that and brought them, a beautiful pair of little girls, twin daughters who were named Cora and Clarice. I am told they're like echoes of me, but if they were born first, then perhaps I'm an echo of them. They died in Darfur, apparently of a sickness that my parents at the time were battling in their patients. I've been told they want to protect me, and that there are Bad Things in Astor that they can't talk about.
I'm still not sure how to process this.
