Xmas Birthdays

So, for my birthday, Jo took me to Spiedo's Restaurante in San Jose. I had an awesome plate of gnocchi and half of her shishkabob.

Afterwards, we went ice skating at the park. Funny thing is, there must have been some winter formal that just got out, cuz there were all these girls in fancy dresses ice skating around the downtown ice rink. Added to the already disco-rific aesthetic of the rink's lighting, it was really surreal and awesome. Jo and I tried to take pictures of them, but we didn't want to be too intrusive so we didn't try very hard to get good ones.

After ice skating and falling on our asses, we walked around "Christmas in the Park." When I was little, my parents would take my brothers and I every year. I remember really enjoying it - the magic of the season or whatever. It looked cool, but wasn't quite the same. Oh well - I get used to the slow fadeout of childhood more and more.
However, I have determined that the smell of pine is vital to Christmas-y feelings. And that I have been missing out on for the last few years. I think I will push for getting a tree more aggressively next season.
*sigh*

Work is kinda tedious, but I'm slowly learning a few tricks.
I think it will get more tolerable once my language classes start. And once I get a gym membership. And this... and that... etc, etc...

Also, I like the new Rammstein album, "Rosenrot," more than their last. It feels like it has more of that nice balance to "Mutter."
I hope they tour the US...
