So it's monday (checks clock) afternoon already and this is the first 3-day stretch of time in which i have been completely happy in quite possibly a year (or more).
Saturday turned out to be much more of a success then i could have ever hoped for. Especially since something catastrophic usually happens whenever i am in the business of planning something. Honestly i'm not attempting be negative and pessimistic in regards to this at the moment. Ever since i was 8 and attempted to plan something; the most random and unusual circumstances somehow alter it. For example...Stephanie and Yossi (and others) getting trapped inside a "No Trespassing" zone for hours and narely making the festivities.
Haha...but i'm glad they did make it after-all...even though Yossi was being an anti-social-exhaust-a-bitch.
Saturday morning i woke up early and picked up my big fat paychek from work (almost $500) and ended up spending the next 5 hours downtown. I went to Maude's just to see if i could find anyone i knew to invite...but alas. I picked up for 4 free tickets to the play and went back to Maude's for a Root Beer Float. While waiting in line to order...there were 3 incredibly ditzy, idiotic, plastic, out-of-place females holding up the line while filing their fingernails and arguing over if "Half-Fat" is better than "non-Fat" and why their boyfriends new moustaches tickle their vaginas during oral sex. DUring this 11 minute torture session the cashier and i made fun of them through cryptic and encoded insults with facial and body gestures. Finally i ordered and the 2 of us ended up talking for 5 minutes or so. Fast forward an hour...after finishing my drink and reading for a bit i head to my car; and there is the cashier sitting down on the steps on her break so i sit down next to her and we converse for another 15 minutes. Eventually i decided to offer her one of these free tickets to the show and luckily she accepted. I ended up getting/convincing/bribing/suckering Aja and Lyra to coming to the play as well.
At this point in time i'd just like to apologize to the 3 of you that i made go watch that weak little production. It was like...the children's book version of "Annie" except with sex and Hispanic people. Even the violence in "Annie" is more realistic than the rape and gunshot scenes.
So...be happy they were free...or else i'f offer you all equal dollar amount refunds by way of...food/music/sex/etc.
So afterwards this girl Tawnie (or is it Tawny???) went to 'Faces' to see her brother play and i picked up Dale and we went back to my place.
It felt so nice to cook for everyone. I was expecting about 5 or 6 people to show up...and when it tud out to be 12 or 13...i was ecstatic. Even though only 4 of them really ate any of my cooking (total waste) the food turned out very well...considering i just bullshitted my way through inventing a whole-new marinade 3 hours prior.
Several people left early...and we watched a movie with far-too-attractive people in far-too-compromising situations. I wont say any more about it because you know about the disturbingly incestuous nature.
Anywho...yesterday Yossi, Matt and i went for a walk/hike/trek up Hogtown Creek. It was beautiful weather and the water was a great temperature as well. It was great fun. I hadn't done any good outdoor activities since i moved down here. I must remember to thank Matt for showing us the way.
And today i went tp Krishna lunch with Yossi, and i beat a Gorilla at Rock, Paper Scissiors (thus winning a t-shirt designed for jocks with a corny sexual ennuendo on the front). And i'm headed out to Waldenbooks to pick up the book i ordered "Indepedence Day" by Jim Keeble. No it's not the alien movie. Jim Keeble is the author of one of my favorite books...the one the Shannon has been borrowing since like November...along with my autobiography.
Anywho...after the bookstore i am baking some cookies, and going to Capoeira from 8-10 PM, and afterwards i definately want to do stuff with people if at all possible. Yossi suggested bowling in a sleepy-stupor last night and it still sounds good to me at some point. Somebody call me before 8 or after 10 and we can set something...anything up.
Fuck...now that i've met Tawnie i'd even give in to going to Maude's again at some point (preferrably daytime when she's working.)
Anywho...i'd like to thank all of you that came to my place Saturday. And just thank you all in general for being quite the loyal friends.
Adieu
