It's the end of the month, that means quota time. Human nature, in all its obscene wisdom, dictates that this will be the time when we make a stand and stop faking it for once. Now its for realsies, not play-pay.

The cops are out, ticketing for any ol' offense, cause who is more human that someone that wants to make a difference -but really wants the privilege to carry a gun. Midterms are this week and next, time to study for real, and actually learn this rather than just memorize bullshit. Priority will be placed in the following order, Thermodynamics, VectorCalc, Dynamics. To be honest, distractions will take the lead, but the end of the month is a haven for illusions. One of those distractions will likely be a secondary eap application and the odd jobs that go along with it, which brings me to this afternoon.

Today i had a physical exam at the doc's office for eap purposes. It was a rush job,  eap only gave me a couple weeks notice to schedule an exam, and because it appears to be peak season for highschool sports physicals i luckily managed to get a physicians assistant. As a consequence of this last minute appointment a female physician had the honors of checking me for testicular cancer, lucky me!
All jokes aside, Japan apparently has odd standards and requires a chest x-ray, eye exam, hearing exam, urinalysis, and wants to know if i am color blind or not- perhaps they are in the market for fighter pilots...The color blindness test included fake-outs, funny to those able to distinguish colors and just rude to those that don't have a clue, kind of like talking shit behind a deaf person. I peed in a cup, waved my hands to barely audible tv style frequencies, received a booster shot, had my reflexes tested, and my favorite, wore a lead apron over my ass to protect my what the tech refered to as my "gonads". I think ill live through the year.

"Do you get regular cardio?"
"Does running for the bus count?"

edit:
patience with asians, weirdos on the bus, and time spent not sleeping have also made the list.
