Musing on Akito
I love Akito so much T___T
it's weird to be so obsessed with character like this isn't it?
I find Akki so fascinating (shhh I also have a crush on her :P)
It piss me off that some people think she's just a slut. She's NOT! She's only slept with two people. I'm pretty sure of it because otherwise Shigure would be pissed off at more than kureno ! I prefer her to be with Shigure but I don't mind Kureno/Akito (it's bittersweet and he really does love her just not the way he cares for Uo-chan).
I don't think Akito is gender confused at all. She knows what she is. I think she reminds me more of the heroine from Versailles no Bara. Oscar was raised from birth to be male because her father had no male heirs and as a general needed a son. Oscar knows she's a woman but lives out her life as man because that's how she was raised. This did not cause her to be sexually or gender confused. She eventually end up falling in love with a man despite the fact tons of women swooned over her etc. I don't know why Akito was raised male but I don't get this impression that she is gender confused at all. She's a girl stuck in a role created for her before she was old enough to decide. I notice she uses the male "boku" a lot which just goes to show how deeply ingrained it is in her.
