Well, here it is! I wonder what I'll get?
Name: Bethany
Nicknames: Beth (but only my best friends can call me it without me getting annoyed)
Gender: Female
Sexual preference: Straight (but if you think a girl suits me better, go ahead and say so)
Age: 16
Chinese Zodiac: Horse (yay)
Western Zodiac: Gemini
Likes: Reading, writing stories and poems, all kinds of music, enjoying life, meeting new people, going for walks, learning new things, trying new foods, learning about other cultures/languages, smiles, video games, analyzing characters, listening, drawing, artwork, history, good plotlines, new and interesting ideas, being warm, hot chocolate, apples :)
Dislikes: Chemistry, mean people, close-minded people, religious zealots, math, labels, shallow people, rap and country, people who try to act like computers, the cold, apathy, racism, sexism, prejudice of any kind
Strengths: my kindness and generosity. I really try to be nice to everyone. I am also pretty smart and try to do well in school. I act like the peace maker in my group of friends. I'm open-minded too. I try to take other people's opinions into consideration, and enjoy talking about deep issues. I don't get angry very easily. I'm a good listener. I also laugh very easily.
Weaknesses: Sometimes I can be too much of an idealist. I don't always see the world as it really is. I also cry very easily, and once I start I can't stop.
Hobbies: I love to write. I also enjoy reading. I tried playing guitar but it never seemed to work for me. I also like to talk to people and get to know them. I draw a lot.
Talents: Writing, drawing, French
Personality in three words: quiet, kind, peace-keeper
For yourself...
Leader or follower: I'm not sure. I have my own ideas about things and don't just do what other people tell me to do, but I'm not very charismatic. I'd rather work alone on projects than with other people. In terms of my thoughts I'm a leader, I guess. I can think for myself.
Agressive or passive: A little of both. I can become passionate about things I believe strongly in, like equality between people and women's rights. But my nature is passive; I hate to make people mad and try to please everyone.
Outgoing or reserved: I'm outgoing sometimes with my friends in short bursts, but for the most part I'm reserved, especially when around strangers. It's hard for me to just kick back and enjoy myself.
Love or lust: I'm a romantic. I'm looking for the right guy and the right relationship. I mean, I find guys attractive, but lust doesn't rule my thoughts. I can't wait to feel love someday, but I'm not going to go out of my way searching for it.
Share feelings or bottle them up: I always talk to my closest friends about how I feel, although sometimes I keep things from my family.
For your ideal partner...
Leader or follower: It depends. I like a guy who can think for himself and have his own ideas, but it's also important that he listens to other people once in a while.
Agressive or passive: I like a good balance of both. I like when a guy knows what he wants and will fight for it, but not at the expense of other people. He has to be able to listen to me.
Outgoing or reserved: I'm attracted to guys who are outgoing, who smile a lot and seem like fun people to be around. But that can't be the only thing to them. I like when he can be a little quiet too sometimes. I could go for someone who is reserved too, but since I'm quiet it might be hard for us to start a conversation.
Love or lust: Obviously I'd like if he respected me for who I am rather than just my looks.
Share feelings or bottle them up: He should be able to talk to me if he has a problem, but I don't expect him to tell me everything. If he's hurt or angry, he should let it out.
Favorite Fruits Basket chapter/s or episode/s and why: I've only read Volume 1, but I love the last chapter in it, where Yuki and Kyo come to take Tohru back home. It's just such a sweet scene. Tohru has a real family with them, and I like how both boys are willing to look out for her. I also liked her conversation with Kyo in that chapter because we get to see more about him and what he feels.
Favorite Fruits Basket character and why: It's a tie between Tohru and Kyo. I can really relate to Tohru, and I can't say that about many female main characters. She's a really loving person, and she reacts to things the same way I would in some situations. I can't even explain why I like Kyo; I knew he would be one of my favorites the moment he fell through the roof in his first appearance. He's kind of lost, and I always find that a little appealing. He also has a bit of a sweet side, which Tohru finds out. I also admire his passion about martial arts.
Traits you are looking for in a partner: Sincere, funny, talkative but can listen, open-minded, caring, passionate about something, won't pressure me
Traits you dislike: Shallow-ness, possessive/jealous people, who won't listen to what I have to say, being mean
Describe your ideal first date in detail: The typical dates like going to the movies bore me. I'd like it to be outside somewhere, like at a park or on a nice walk somewhere where we can just talk and laugh with each other. I don't expect a kiss on the first date, either. Hopefully he'd be just as appreciative of the world as I am, and wouldn't mind if I wanted to take some pictures of the trees or something. Or we could just chill at home, talk about things we're interested in, stuff like that.
Anything else? That's about it. This was a lot of fun, and kind of helped me realize some things about myself. I'm leaving it up to you, now!
