The fibers are not actually literally still "caught in your throat", as the throat is basically a mucus-coated muscle-tube designed to KEEP small things from catching/sticking in it. (Obviously large things can still get caught, which is why people still die from choking to death on large pieces of food etc., but small particles usually do not "stick" to the sides of the throat)
What you are experiencing is the residual irritation that the fibers caused, which is making it feel as though something is still "in" there, because your throat is likely swollen and irritated.
Cough drops with menthol can help, as can over-the-counter cough syrups. These will repress the cough long enough for your body's natural healing process to take place and the swelling/irritation to go down. An over-the-counter NSAID (anti-inflammatory) medication like aspirin can also help.
If you're the type who isn't fond of chemicals/medications, you can also drink tea, hot water, or tea with lots of honey and lemon.
If the symptoms persist more than a few days from now, SEE A DOCTOR, since you may be having an allergic reaction to the fibers that is more serious than just mild irritation.
