So I've decided to start making a dragon tail and ears for my character, Kifflemonster.
Now, I'm pretty sure on how I'll go about the ears, but the tail is what I'm scratching my head on. I'm not sure if I want to just cut out the pattern with that kinked part she has at the tip (the way I imagine it is that her tail is so big that it "bunches" and drags along the ground) or if I want to cut out the pattern as just a striaght tail, and insert some sort of bendy metal frame in there so that I can bend it at will. Also, I'm wondering if sewing together only two side-pieces for the tail would make it puffy enough. It's -very- wide at the base, as can be seen, and then gradually tapers.
Secondly, with the little purple spikes, I'm not sure how they should be applied. I want them to be sort of puffy, so I'm wondering if I would stuff them, then sew them into the seam of the overall tail, perhaps?
For the record, the fabric I'm using is a soft fleece for the green part. The spikes are going to be a sort of linen fabric.
Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated!
