Dremel question

I've noticed that people often suggest using a Dremel tool for making a nice clean, round cut in the white plastic used for toony eyes. I've never used a Dremel before, and was considering adding it to my Christmas list as I gather the materials needed for my first fursuit head. Does it come in handy for other fursuit-making jobs, though? I don't know if I can justify getting a tool for a single task--though it looks like the basic model isn't too expensive.
