omgz, new content!
Unfortunately, not much to comment on. The artist does such a good job of it itself, that I may as well put the About page up. Oh, wait, I do have one.
WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THOSE LEGS? Is it part frog?
Oh, and of course Havarikk also 'created' a 'dark' version of this 'new character.'
Looks like this site is pretty new, so there's not much to point and laugh at yet. Just keep it bookmarked for future reference. ;Þ

In essence I had created a whole new character, which had evolved from these humble beginnings. This new character I named "Renara"

Whatever you'd classify her as, an anthropomorphic fox, a 'fox-girl' or a furry, the simple fact is that Renara, although she has human-like qualities, is most definitely more interesting than your average human.

A brief history

I started drawing fox characters not with Renara, but with a more widely known character from the cartoon/anime programme; Digimon.
The character I drew was called Renamon, and had some unusual proportions, but overall a very simple design which I found interesting to draw.

As I created more and more little drawings of this character (some of which are featured here), I found that I lost many of the attributes that made the pictures Renamon:
- The gloves
- The markings
- The shorter arms/legs

In essence I had created a whole new character, which had evolved from these humble beginnings. This new character I named "Renara" as a homage to the original inspiration, and she is what you see featured

If Renara were real, what would she be like?

At first this could be an easy question to answer, I could just decide what I'd want from the character and say that. But when I think about it there are far more possibilities to consider.

I guess the main factor to think about first is that physically she is more animal than human. This would play a major role, and there is one word which comes out on top when thinking about this; fur. She's covered in it, and it looks really good. I expect she'd take a lot of care in her appearance (hence the brush in the site's picture!) and be happiest when she's clean/tidy. Would she be vain?
I don't think so, as that would seem to me to be a very human trait. She'd take pride in her appearance, but not obsess about it.

Next question is what would she like, and I guess the biggest answer to that question is; life. All animals want to live above all else (except maybe lemmings...heh) and I think Renara would be no exception, she'd enjoy everything, every experience, everything that it is to be alive!

What about personality, dealing with others? Would she be friendly? I reckon so, in fact I expect she'd be a fairly naive and trusting individual, but at the same time, not someone you'd want to rub the wrong way.

What exactly does Renara DO?

She does nothing, sort of. She is a character that I draw and who I have a nice idea of in my head, but who ultimately serves no particular purpose.

That's not to say you're wasting your time here, by no means in fact! Although Renara doesn't 'do' anything, she does have some cool things that you may be interested in!

Firstly are the desktop pictures which you can find in the gallery.

Second and most importantly, you can buy some really nice merchandise featuring my now favourite yellow fox on them, you can do this by going to her online store. Visit the shop page for more info/ previews.
Items include T-Shirts (various types/sizes), posters and soon to be other items as well! Why not head on over and take a look? Maybe even buy something, the prices are pretty good and the items are made to a high quality (I have some of them myself!) =)

I still have questions, who do I ask?

If you have any questions about Renara, perhaps you'd like permission to use the character somewhere? Or maybe you've purchased an item and would like to give feedback on that? If so then you may contact me with your query and I will be more than happy to answer it!
