Happy New Year!
I love sleeping on the steps. My parents have a gas wall heater downstairs next to the stairs and the warm air drifts right up the steps and keeps me warm. I also can keep a good eye on everything from here. That crazy little dog is playing with his rope toy he got for Christmas, Daddy is playing some type of human game on tv, and momma seems to be busy at the computer.
I didn't get any real gifts for New Years, but momma did let me share her soup with her earlier. It was some type of chicken and veggie thing, the broth was quite tasty anyway. I didn't even wait for momma to offer it to me, I just stuck my nose in it and started lapping. I knew she wouldn't mind. In fact once she saw me eating it she didn't even eat any more so I could have all of it! Wasn't that nice of her.
I hope everyone had a nice New Year. I didn't go down stairs with Daddy, Momma, and Sherlock cause I was busy guarding the hallway. I kept hearing popping and banging noises outside and thought we might be under attack so I felt it best that I guard while they have fun. I am a great guard cat. I know Kung Fu and everything.
Well time to sack out on the stairs for a bit so I can have the energy to make it to the bedroom so I can sleep again. Nite all!
